Moser Baer achieves 7.3% module efficiency through its proprietary process

Photovoltaic Technologies India (PVTIL), a subsidiary of Moser Baer India (MBIL) has announced successful completion of testing and validation of breakthrough process that will enhance the stable efficiency of its single junction thin film modules from 6% to 7.3%. The process has been designed at PVTILs Greater Noida plant by its in-house research team.
This improves the module wattage from 340 watts / panel to 400 watts / panel on full size modules.

This breakthrough has been achieved by judicious optimization of multiple layers in the device structure. This is one of the highest efficiency achieved of any a-silicon single junction thin film module of this size globally.
